Zelle® is leaving MAJORITY. Now what?

Zelle® is leaving MAJORITY. Now what?

(Spoiler: It's all good!)

If you used the standalone Zelle® app with MAJORITY, you might have heard it's no longer available as of April 1, 2025. But before you panic, let me tell you something: it’s not the end of the world. This is the perfect opportunity to discover other ways to pay others and receive money, all in your MAJORITY app!

Why can’t I use Zelle® with MAJORITY anymore?

Zelle® decided to discontinue its standalone app in the U.S., affecting multiple financial institutions, including MAJORITY. However, that doesn’t mean you’re out of options. MAJORITY has invested significant effort in building solutions that offer a seamless experience.

The best alternatives to pay and receive money with MAJORITY

  1. MAJORITY Pay: The fastest and easiest way to pay money to anyone in the U.S. and the best part? The recipient doesn’t need a MAJORITY account—if they have a U.S. bank account, they’ll receive the money seamlessly.
  2. Payment request: Need someone to pay you? Just share your payment link—no complicated apps, no forced sign-ups.
  3. Other apps like Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App – Your MAJORITY card is fully compatible with these platforms so you can use them without any issues.

Bonus features to add money –

Card load: Add money to your MAJORITY account faster and without fees using a debit card from another financial institution. Eligibility apply.

Check deposit: We know you’ve been waiting for this one, and we are pleased to launch this new feature. This works as easy as it sounds. It allows you to deposit checks directly from your MAJORITY app without paying an extra fee! Eligibility applies to this feature.

What if I had a pending payment in Zelle®?

If you sent money and the recipient hasn’t received it yet, don’t stress. First, check the payment status in the standalone Zelle® app. If it says "pending," likely, that the recipient hasn’t registered their phone number or email with Zelle®. In that case, you can cancel the transaction and resend it through MAJORITY.

If the payment has already been sent but the recipient doesn’t see it in their account, ask them to check with their bank or contact Zelle® support directly.

Can I still use Zelle® with MAJORITY in any way?

No, as of April 1, 2025, it’s no longer possible to link MAJORITY with the standalone Zelle® app. However, as you can see, you have multiple options that work just as well (or even better!).

So… what now?

Yes, the standalone Zelle® app is no longer available to be linked with financial institutions like MAJORITY, but that's okay. With MAJORITY Pay, payment requests, compatibility with other apps, and all the bonuses we're working to create for you, you have everything you need to keep paying others, even if they don't have MAJORITY, receiving money smoothly, and adding money to your account efficiently.

So take a deep breath, keep using your  MAJORITY account, and forget the stress. We’re still here, making it easy for you.

*The MAJORITY app facilitates banking services through Axiom Bank, N.A. (“Axiom”), member FDIC. The funds deposited in the account held at Axiom, Member FDIC, are FDIC-insured on a pass-through basis up to $250,000 per depositor in the event Axiom fails and subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions.
