CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT (CCPA) DISCLOSURE AND NOTICE AT COLLECTION
This disclosure is applicable to California residents only, and details the practices of Majority USA, LLC and its affiliate companies (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Majority”) relating to the personal information of California residents. It discloses what personal information we collect, where we collect it from, what we use it for, who we disclose it to, how long we keep it, the rights California residents may have, and how to exercise them.
Please note that the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and this disclosure do not apply to personal information covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other laws. For example, this Policy does not apply with respect to information that we collect about California residents who apply for or obtain our financial products and services. Categories of Personal Information
In the past 12 months we have collected personal information (meaning information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could be reasonably linked, directly or indirectly, with you or a household) in the following categories:
- Personal Identifiers such as your real name, alias, postal address, internet protocol address, device identifier, email address, phone number, Social Security number, driver’s license number, passport number, government identification number, Green Card number.
- California Customer Records Personal Information which includes name, signature, Social Security number, physical characteristics or description, address, telephone number, passport number, driver's license or state identification card number, bank account number, credit card number, debit card number, or any other financial information. Some personal information included in this category may overlap with other categories.
- Characteristics of Protected Classifications such as your date of birth, age, gender, military or veteran status, marital status, nationality, or citizenship.
- Biometric Information such as physiological or biological characteristics, or activity patters used to extract a template or other identifier or identifying information such as, fingerprints, faceprints, and voice recordings, iris or retina scans, and keystroke or other physical patterns.
- Professional or Employment Information such as title or salary.
- Financial Details such as bank account numbers, debit or credit card numbers, cardholder or accountholder name and details, and transaction details.
- Commercial Information such as products and services purchased, obtained or considered, and purchasing or consuming histories and tendencies.
- Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information such as information related to your usage of the Majority app or website and any advertisements therein.
- Geolocation Data such as physical location or movements.
- Communications, Recordings, and Images such as audio, electronic or visual recordings or images.
- Sensitive Personal Information such as government identifiers (SSN, driver’s license, passport number), account login, financial account, debit or credit card number with any required security code, password or credentials allowing access to the account, precise geolocation data, contents of mail, email, and text messages, and biometric information processed to identify an individual.
Categories of Sources of Personal Information
In the past 12 months we have collected personal information about California residents from the following categories of sources:
- Directly From You when you provide it to us digitally or physically (e.g. where you contact us via email or telephone, or by any other means)
- As well as from:
- Service Providers and Third Parties who provide it to us (e.g. credit bureaus, identification verification providers, and law enforcement authorities)
- Public Record Sources (Federal, State or Local Government Sources)
- Your visit to any of our apps or websites or your use of any features or resources available on or through an app or website. When you use one of our apps or visit one of our websites, your device and browser may automatically disclose certain information (such as device type, operating system, browser type, browser settings, IP address, language settings, dates and times of connecting and other technical communications information), which may constitute personal information.
Business and Commercial Purposes for the Collection, Disclosure, and Use of Personal Information
We collect and use personal information from or about California residents for the following business or commercial purposes:
- Marketing: in order to communicate with you via any means (including email, telephone, text message, social media, post or in person) subject to ensuring that such communications are made to you in compliance with applicable law and maintaining and updating your contact information where appropriate.
- Operation of Our Websites: in order to operate and manage our websites, such as providing content to you, displaying advertising an other information to you, and communicating and interacting with you via our websites.
- IT Operations: to manage our communications systems, operate our IT security, and during IT security audits.
- Health and Safety: for health and safety assessments and recordkeeping, and compliance with related legal obligations.
- Financial Management: for sales, finance purposes, corporate audits, and vendor management.
- Research: for conducting market or customer satisfaction research and engaging with you for the purposes of obtain your opinions on our products and services.
- Security: for electronic security purposes, including login records and access details and where you access our electronic systems.
- Investigations: to detect, investigate, and prevent breaches of policy and criminal offences, in accordance with applicable law.
- Legal Compliance: to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations under applicable law.
- Legal Proceedings: to establish, exercise and defend legal rights.
- Improving Our Products and Services: to identify issues with existing products and services, to improve our existing products and services, and to create new products and services.
- Risk Management: for audit, compliance, controls and other risk management purposes.
- Fraud Prevention: to detect, prevent and investigate fraud.
- Providing Our Products and Services: to otherwise provide our products and services in ways not already described in the categories above.
Disclosure of Personal Information
In the past 12 months we have disclosed the categories of California residents’ personal information to some or all the following categories of recipients:
- You or your authorized representatives;
- Our affiliates;
- Anti-fraud service providers;
- Identity verification service providers;
- Accountants, auditors, financial advisors, lawyers and other outside professional advisors, subject to confidentiality;
- Data aggregation services;
- Accreditation bodies;
- Service providers (examples include, payment services providers, calling and mobile top-up service providers, and other Majority partners) or contractors who provide services such as, but not limited to, website hosting, data analysis, payment processing, information technology and related infrastructure, customer service, email delivery, marketing (including those who promote the Company and its financial services and products to customers), supporting research activities, payment, banking and communication infrastructure, and storage;
- Credit reporting agencies
- Governmental, legal, judicial, regulatory, or other similar authorities and/or local government agencies, upon request or where required;
- Other third parties to comply with legal requirements such as the demands of applicable subpoenas and court orders, to verify or enforce our, our affiliates or our partners’ terms of service, our other rights or other applicable policies, to address fraud, security or technical issues, to respond to an emergency, or otherwise to protect the rights, property or security of customers, affiliates, partners or other third parties;
- Any relevant third-party to whom we sell or transfer all or any relevant portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution, liquidation or other transaction in which such person assumes control of all or part of the business); and
- Other parties, if you specifically direct or expressly consent to us disclosing your personal information to them.
Retention of Personal Information
We take reasonable steps designed to ensure that your personal information is only processed for the minimum period necessary for the purposes set out in this disclosure. The criteria for determining the duration for which we will retain your personal information are as follows:
- We will retain copies of your personal information in a form that permits identification only for as long as:
- We maintain an ongoing relationship with you (e.g. while you are still receiving services from us); or
- Your personal information is necessary in connection with purposes set out in this disclosure plus:
- The duration of any applicable limitation period under applicable law, and where required by applicable or a retention policy established in accordance with applicable law.
Once the periods above have concluded, each to the extent applicable or permitted by applicable law, we will: (1) permanently delete or destroy the relevant personal information, (2) archive your personal information so that it is beyond use, or (3) anonymize the relevant personal information.
Rights for California Residents
As a California resident, you may have one or more of the following rights under the CCPA:
- The right to know:
- The categories of personal information we have collected;
- The categories of sources used to collect personal information;
- The business or commercial purposes for collecting your personal information;
- The categories of recipients with whom we share your personal information, including for the purpose of cross contextual behavioral advertising;
- The specific pieces of information we have collected about you
- The right to request, on legitimate grounds, deletion of your personal information that we collected
- The right to opt out of our sharing your personal information for the purpose of cross contextual behavioral advertising
- The right, in certain circumstances, to correct inaccurate personal information we collected about you; and
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
We must also provide in this online disclosure certain details about our collection and handling of categories of personal information, as shown above.
Requests for specific pieces of personal Information will require additional information to verify your identity.
For individuals submitting a request on behalf of another person, we may require proof of authorization and verification of identity directly from the person for whom the request is made. For a company or organization submitting a request on behalf of another person, we may require proof of authorization from the individual such as a Power of Attorney and verification of identity directly from the person for whom the request is made.
In some instances, we may not be able to honor your request. For example, we will not honor your request if we cannot verify your identity or if we cannot verify that you have the authority to make a request on behalf of another individual. Additionally, we will not honor your request where an exception applies, such as where the disclosure of information would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of another California resident or where the information that we maintain about you is not subject to the CCPA's access or deletion rights.
We will advise you in our response if we are not able to honor your request. We will not provide Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers or government-issued identification numbers, financial account numbers, unique biometric data, health care or medical identification numbers, account passwords or security questions and answers, or any specific pieces of information if the disclosure presents the possibility of unauthorized access that could result in identity theft or fraud or unreasonable risk to data or systems and network security.

Sharing and Sale of Personal Information
You may opt-out of the sharing of your personal information related to your use of the Majority website by declining non-essential cookies or by clicking the “Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of the www.majority.com web page.
We do not offer an opt-put for the sale of your personal information because we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Individuals Under the Age of 16
We do not knowingly collect or share personal information from children under the age of 16.
Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information
We do not use or disclose Sensitive Personal Information for purposes other than the limited purposes enumerated in the CCPA.
Changes to Disclosure
We may change this disclosure from time to time. When we do, we will communicate the changes by appropriate means, such as by posting the revised disclosure on our CCPA web site with a new “Last Updated” date. Any changes to this disclosure will become effective when posted unless indicated otherwise.
